Tapas Hummus

"Indulge in Philmore Harrison's Tapas Hummus, crowned with crispy chickpeas, pickled onions, and zesty spices! 🥙✨ A symphony of flavors and textures."

Instructions:

Hummus:

  1. In a food processor, blend chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth.
  2. Add salt to taste and adjust consistency with water if needed. Blend again.

Crispy Chickpeas:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss dried chickpeas with olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, and salt.
  3. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden and crispy. Let cool.

Assembling Tapas:

  1. Spread a generous layer of hummus on a serving platter or individual dishes.
  2. Scatter crispy chickpeas over the hummus.
  3. Sprinkle pickled onions, fresh coriander, and chili flakes for added flavor and color.
  4. Optionally, add a dash of chili powder for extra heat.
  5. Finish with a generous sprinkling of vibrant pomegranate seeds.

Presentation:

For Hummus:

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as needed for desired consistency)

For Crispy Chickpeas:

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and dried
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

For Garnish:

  • Pickled onions (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Red chili flakes
  • Chili powder (optional for extra heat)
  • Pomegranate seeds
