Philmore’s Jerk-Infused Cheddar & Sweet Corn Fritters

"Philmore's Jerk-Infused Cheddar and Sweet Corn Fritters: A Fusion of Spice and Cheesy Delight"

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine fresh corn, cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, diced scotch bonnet, smoked paprika, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add beaten eggs and Philmore Harrison Jerk Marinade to the mixture. Stir until well combined. The batter should be thick enough to hold its shape.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Spoon the batter into the hot oil, forming small patties. Fry until golden brown on both sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the fritters and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve the Jerk-infused Cheddar and Sweet Corn Fritters warm with your favourite dipping sauce.

  • 1 cup fresh corn kernels
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 scotch bonnet, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Philmore Harrison Jerk Marinade
  • Vegetable oil for frying
