Instructions:
- Place the cleaned squid rings in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Let them soak for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 180°C (350°F).
- Remove squid rings from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat them in the flour mixture.
- Carefully place the coated squid rings in the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Remove the fried squid and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the fried squid hot with a side of Philmore’s Jerk BBQ Sauce for dipping.
